Après Ski Mulled Wine

A staple of European après ski affairs mulled wine is a bright and flavorful way to end a day on the hill. Bold aromas from star anise and orange give this traditional cold weather drink an extra punch of holiday flavor!

4 cups apple cider

1 (750-ml) bottle red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon

1/4 cup honey

2 cinnamon sticks

1 orange, zested and juiced

4 whole cloves

3 star anise

4 oranges, peeled, for garnish

Yes, it’s a thing! A generous pour of Bourbon gives this Starbucks staple a boozy twist. The slow simmering of tea, milk, and spices will have your home smelling like Christmas in no time. You can even omit the Bourbon for a delicious DIY Chai Tea Latte!

2 cups milk

2 cups water

1 tablespoon black tea

2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

6 whole cloves

1/2 teaspoon cardamom

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

3 peppercorns

1 cinnamon stick

2 star anise

4 ounces bourbon (optional)

Classic Eggnog

Nothing spreads cheer like a cup of classic Eggnog. Although most choose to imbibe with their favorite store-bought brands, whipping up a homemade batch is almost as fun as drinking it.

Be sure to leave some out for Santa too!

6 large egg yolks

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2cups milk

1/2teaspoon ground nutmeg

pinch of salt

1/4teaspoon vanilla extract

Feliz Navidad! This delectable concoction is the perfect drink for unwrapping a present (two) on Christmas Eve. Classic, creamy hot chocolate is paired with a dash of hot chili and a healthy amount of Khalua. De nada!

2 cups whole milk.

2/3 cup bittersweet chocolate chips.

4 tsp. natural unsweetened cocoa powder.

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon.

1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg.


4 tbsp. coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa) or 1 tbsp. ( packed) brown sugar.

1/2 cup chilled heavy cream.

2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature

1/4 cup honey

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Pinch salt

3/4 cup spiced rum

2 cups boiling water

4 sticks cinnamon, for garnish

New Year’s Eve Champagne Cocktail

Break out the bubbles! After all those decadent cocktails, champagne is the perfect way to transition seamlessly into your New Year’s resolutions. This champagne cocktail keeps the holidays alive with bold spicy flavor!

Place 3/4 teaspoon sugar into the bottom of a champagne flute.

Add in 8 shakes of angostura bitters.

Top with champagne.

Garnish with a lemon peel.
