Fifth Annual Mothership Classic Lands at Squaw This Sunday

Blog Home / Lifestyle

Throw on your coolest retro onesie and break those skinny skis out of retirement for the 5th Annual Mothership Classic brought to you by Tahoe’s own Arcade Belt Company. This retro ski and snowboard fundraiser is a bell to bell day of fun and chasing friends around the mountain while raising money for the locally founded non-profit organization, High Fives.

The event takes place at the world-renowned KT-22 chair lift in Squaw Valley, also known by local ski and snowboard fanatics as “The Mothership”. The fun includes a full day of skiing or snowboarding to see who can get in the most laps from first to last chair.

The Mothership Classic is a fundraiser in which participants are encouraged to gain sponsorship from friends, family, and community members at the starting pledge rate of $.25 per lap and of course any flat rate of sponsorship is more than welcome, and more than appreciated. All proceeds go to the High Fives Non-Profit Organization, a local foundation helping athletes that have endured life-altering injuries get back to the activities they love.
