“When you live and work in a world-class place, promoting its family life-style and adventurous spirit make it that much easier, not to mention enjoyable.” This is what I thought, yet once again, when I read that Truckee Calif. was recently ranked by National Geographic Traveler Magazine as 1 of the World’s Top 25 Most Classic Ski Towns – right up there with Chamonix, France; Stowe Vermont and Niseko, Japan.
I’ve been living and working in North Lake Tahoe/Truckee for over 15 years. Helping others find that perfect place to buy in this area is a strong passion of mine, as I know I’m ultimately helping them to embark on a life-long journey of their experiencing the many awe-inspiring views and plethora of outdoor activities that welcome Tahoe/Truckee locals every day. I also enjoy sharing with them my in-depth knowledge of golf courses in the area if that is of interest. Having spent numerous years in the golf industry, this is an added value, among many others, that I bring to my clients.
Like most people I meet, I didn’t grow up in the Sierra Nevada. I was raised in Los Altos, CA, where I graduated from St. Francis High School in Mountain View. My college “career” started at the University of Nebraska on a baseball scholarship, during which time I traveled throughout the United States as a competitive athlete. Yearning to be back in California, I graduated from UC Santa Barbara, and only a few years later returned to the mountains where I have been enjoying and still do today all that North Lake Tahoe/Truckee has to offer such as: backcountry skiing, road and mountain biking, swimming, hiking, boating, dining, shopping, partaking in downtown Truckee Thursdays summer street fairs, the Truckee Tahoe AirFair & Family Festival and summer Sunday night concerts at Commons Beach in Tahoe City. Needless to say, it’s a great place to call home.
