Elizabeth grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where she skied both downhill and cross country. She studied civil engineering at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks while competing NCAA in cross country skiing. She moved to Tahoe in 1989 and continued skiing competition internationally. She got her real estate license in 1999, and currently owns a horse ranch in Gardnerville, Nevada with her husband Tony. Elizabeth and Tony rescue ex-race horses and retrain them for competition in three-day eventing.
